Chrysalis Center
was established as an outpatient private practice with an eating disorder
specialty in June 2003. Prior to starting the practice, both founding
therapists worked closely together at the UNC-Wilmington Counseling Center
and were part of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team on campus. Their
decision to branch out into private practice was driven by a desire to
reach out to the community and be able to provide counseling and eating
disorder treatment to a variety of populations and age ranges.
