Chrysalis Center was founded
by Kayj Nash Okine, Ph.D. and Kelly Broadwater, M.A. in June 2003. Prior to starting the practice, both counselors
worked closely together at the UNC-Wilmington Counseling Center and were part of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team
on campus. Their decision to
branch out into private practice was driven by a desire to reach out to
the community and be able to provide counseling and eating disorder
treatment to a variety of populations.
Both psychologists are licensed professionals and members of the
International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals and the National
Eating Disorders Association.
