Sabrina is accepting new clients!

Sabrina Russo is a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship with food and reconnect with their bodies in a compassionate and sustainable way. She completed her graduate degree at the State University of New York and brings a diverse healthcare background to her work. Prior to becoming a dietitian, Sabrina worked as a licensed practical nurse in a hospital setting and served on active duty in the United States Navy, experiences that shaped her understanding of the complex relationship between physical health, body image, and nutrition.

Over the past 10 years, Sabrina has worked in public health and private practice, where she discovered a passion for supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating. She understands the profound impact of diet culture and her work focuses on helping clients move away from painful dieting cycles, challenge unhelpful beliefs about food and weight, and build a more balanced and trusting relationship with eating. Sabrina takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to nutrition counseling, recognizing that each person's experiences, needs, and goals are unique. She works collaboratively with clients to leave behind arbitrary numbers and reconnect with their innate body cues while developing skills that support long-term recovery and overall wellness. Sabrina values a team-based approach to care and works closely with therapists, medical providers, and other members of the treatment team to provide comprehensive support.

Committed to ongoing professional growth, Sabrina is currently working toward obtaining her specialty credential as a Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). She incorporates the principles of Intuitive Eating and body image work into her treatment approach, helping clients cultivate greater self-trust, flexibility, and confidence in their relationship with food.

At Chrysalis Center for Counseling and Eating Disorder Treatment, Sabrina provides nutrition counseling within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and continues supporting clients through outpatient services via telehealth. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where individuals and families feel empowered throughout the recovery process.
