Emily Foster is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and the Treatment Coordinator for Chrysalis Center’s Intensive Outpatient Programs (CCIOP). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Iowa State University and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oklahoma State University.

Emily is passionate about supporting adults navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and related mental health concerns. She takes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from person-centered, narrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) frameworks. Emily collaborates closely with each client to explore patterns, build self-awareness, and develop effective coping skills for lasting change.

Believing that healing happens within the context of safety and connection, Emily works to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and supported. Her relational style emphasizes empathy, curiosity, and self-compassion—helping clients cultivate these qualities both inside and outside the therapy room.

In her role as Treatment Coordinator, Emily facilitates admissions, organizes treatment planning, and provides ongoing administrative support to help clients and families navigate their IOP experience with clarity and ease. Her thoughtful guidance helps ensure that every client feels cared for and informed throughout their time in the program.

Emily is deeply aligned with the Chrysalis mission of restoring hope and empowering change, and she strives to help clients rediscover balance, self-trust, and confidence in recovery.
