Isabella Mabe is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern at Chrysalis Center for Counseling and Eating Disorder Treatment. She is currently pursuing her graduate degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), where she also earned her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, Isabella interned as a victim advocate at the Rape Crisis Center, where she provided trauma-informed support, advocacy, and crisis intervention for survivors of sexual assault.

Isabella has experience working in diverse clinical and community settings, supporting individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Her work is informed by trauma-informed care, advocacy, and crisis management, and she continues to expand her clinical knowledge through ongoing training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centered Therapy. Isabella is especially interested in working with clients experiencing eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use concerns.

Her therapeutic approach is warm, client-centered, and empowering, grounded in empathy and respect for each person’s lived experience. Isabella strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, valued, and understood. She is passionate about helping individuals identify their strengths, develop coping strategies, and cultivate a stronger sense of self as they work toward healing and emotional well-being.

Isabella is excited to continue her training with the Chrysalis Center team, where she is learning from experienced clinicians and refining her therapeutic skills. She is deeply aligned with the organization’s mission of restoring hope and empowering change, and is committed to helping clients build resilience, connection, and confidence as they move toward lasting growth and recovery.
