Kelly Broadwater, MA, LPA, LCMHC, CEDS-C

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 Kelly Broadwater is a psychologist and licensed professional counselor who has spent her entire career treating eating disorders, founding the Chrysalis Center in 2003. She is a published author and has spoken at professional conferences on topics pertaining to eating disorders and bariatrics at the international, regional, state, and local levels. Kelly has provided psychological services in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health agencies, college counseling centers, and private practice. She has taught college psychology courses at Appalachian State University and been published in the research journal Addictive Behaviors.

Kelly leads the entire staff as the executive director and is passionate about empowering her team to work together to provide expert level care for our clients. Her expertise and leadership drive employees to work hard while balancing their personal lives and finding avenues for maintaining self-care. Kelly collaborates closely with other health care professionals locally and across the country as Chrysalis Center continues to expand our services to provide higher levels of care and eating disorder education to our community.

Kelly is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as well as the International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals through which she is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and is recognized as an approved supervisor for others in pursuit of their CEDS. She earned her BA in Psychology from Clemson University with a minor in Women’s Studies and her MA in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University.
