MACY BAYNOR, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
(she, her, hers)
Macy Baynor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Assistant Clinical Director at Chrysalis Center for Counseling and Eating Disorder Treatment. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and brings deep passion, creativity, and expertise to her work with children, adolescents, and families.
Macy understands that parenting can feel overwhelming—especially when a child is experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. She specializes in working with children and teens ages 4 to 18, helping them develop healthy coping skills, emotional awareness, and resilience. Her work emphasizes connection and empowerment, creating a safe and supportive space where young clients and their families can grow together.
Her therapeutic approach is flexible, engaging, and developmentally informed, integrating techniques from play therapy, art-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT. Macy tailors each session to meet the unique needs and strengths of every client, ensuring therapy feels both effective and accessible.
In her leadership role as Assistant Clinical Director, Macy provides clinical supervision, staff training, and program support to foster ongoing growth and collaboration within the Chrysalis team. She is also involved in community outreach and education, helping strengthen connections between Chrysalis Center and the broader Wilmington mental health community.
At the heart of her work, Macy is dedicated to the Chrysalis mission of restoring hope and empowering change—supporting children, families, and clinicians as they build the skills, confidence, and compassion needed to thrive.
