Robyn Olsen-Nicotra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. She earned her Master’s degree from the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and pursued doctoral training in clinical psychology (Psy.D., ABD) at La Salle University. Throughout her career, Robyn has worked across a variety of clinical settings, bringing both depth and compassion to every therapeutic relationship.

Robyn takes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Psychotherapy, Positive Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Her work is grounded in the belief that true healing occurs through the connection of mind, body, and spirit. She takes time to understand each client’s unique background, experiences, and goals in order to create personalized treatment plans that foster insight, resilience, and lasting transformation.

Known for her warmth, authenticity, and collaborative style, Robyn views therapy as a journey taken together. She works alongside her clients to explore patterns, clarify values, and build strategies for meaningful change. Her approach honors both the vulnerability and strength it takes to engage in therapy—meeting each client with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

Robyn has extensive experience treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including eating disorders, body image issues, trauma, panic attacks, depression, postpartum depression and anxiety, grief and loss (particularly following the loss of a child or loved one), narcissistic abuse, perfectionism, and procrastination. She integrates trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to help clients rebuild trust in themselves and create lives aligned with authenticity and purpose.

In addition to individual therapy, Robyn provides couples and family therapy, helping clients strengthen communication, rebuild emotional intimacy, and navigate conflict with greater understanding and compassion. She believes that connection and self-awareness are at the heart of both personal and relational healing.

At Chrysalis Center for Counseling and Eating Disorder Treatment, Robyn embodies the organization’s mission of restoring hope and empowering change. With deep clinical experience and a holistic, heart-centered perspective, she helps clients move toward greater balance, clarity, and emotional well-being.
